"Members,
On January 1, 2016, the new open carry law will begin in Texas. Open carry is not compatible with range safety and club rules. In order to continue to ensure safety on our ranges, there will be no open carry on Greenwood Gun Club property.
You are still permitted to conceal carry on GGC property if you have a CHL, but do not mix your shooting experience and concealed carry. If you draw from concealment it is breaking club rules. Act as you would in a public place. Displaying your firearm in a non-emergency situation would be considered "brandishing"

Brazosport & Brazoria County Gun Club

The object for which this corporation is formed is the encouragement of responsible shooting among residents of the State of Texas, with the view toward a better knowledge on the part of such persons of the safe handling and proper care of firearms, as well as improved marksmanship. It shall be a further object and purpose to cultivate the development of those characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play and self-reliance, which are essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism.

GGC promotes archery, black powder, pistol, rifle and shotgun through ongoing matches throughout the year. These matches are open to the public check range schedule. All other range use for members and their guests only.

Our youth outreach uses the 4-H Shootings Sports program. It is available to area youth to teach gun & archery safety and shooting sports along with the other tenets for youth development through the 4-H program.
