The object for which this corporation is formed is the encouragement of responsible shooting among residents of the State of Texas, with the view toward a better knowledge on the part of such persons of the safe handling and proper care of firearms, as well as improved marksmanship. It shall be a further object and purpose to cultivate the development of those characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play and self-reliance, which are essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism.

GGC promotes archery, black powder, pistol, rifle and shotgun through ongoing matches throughout the year.

Our youth outreach uses the 4-H Shootings Sports program. It is available to area youth to teach gun & archery safety and shooting sports along with the other tenets for youth develop of the 4-H program.
